TRANSIT TAX VOTE   SANDAG San Diego Association of Governments

The agency placed a ballot measure to extend the tax for funding of transit projects over the next several years. Michael Jones produced video versions for each of the six San Diego regions for use by SANDAG speakers in local communities.  The public overwhelming approved the tax.

Creator/Executive Producer, Richard Shaw, highlights the culture, people and history of this continent nation to advocate benefits of commuter and long-distance rail, reaching a wide audience on TV networks worldwide and on Readers Digest Home Video.

Clip is compiled from 2 programs produced for Motorola. A new two-way radio system allows for grouping of area municipal assets--police, fire, roads, operations--to a single talk group for emergency events.  Michael Jones enlisted the complete cooperation of and coordinated with police, fire and air wings for the cities of Phoenix, Mesa, Tempe and Chandler, Arizona.

This dynamic video was used by Port executives worldwide to promote The Port of Long Beach.  California Media produced a new opening and updated scenes. Richard Shaw was account executive and also coordinated production logistics, including shots from a crane hundreds of feet in the air and around fast-moving trucks, trains and forklifts on the ground.

The microchip revolution is explored in this half-hour program produced and directed by Media People International.  Richard Shaw created and implemented strategic marketing programs for Motorola to reach specific, targeted constituencies around the broadcast of the show on each of three different TV networks--PBS, The Discovery Channel, and The Learning Channel—over a period of two and a half years.
